A center has been set up in eastern Assam where committed young people can develop ideas and receive support in implementing them. Together with the local partner, Bosco Institute in Jorhat, the Stiftung Childaid Network developed the Innovation Hub and now offers young people from the villages a platform for exchange, workshops and training.
The center offers courses for NGO members, social entrepreneurs and micro-entrepreneurs from rural areas. One focus is the identification and promotion of multipliers who have the talent and motivation to train, motivate and employ young people.
Talented young people are thus given the opportunity to become active in their home country, to advance the region and to slow down migration.
In particular, it is also about integrating courses, programs and ideas that have already been used effectively elsewhere into the logistics of the Innovation Hub and making them accessible to interested young people from north-east India, especially from the marginalized groups, for the first time.
The expansion of the Bosco Institute by two floors has now been successfully completed despite the restrictions due to the Corona crisis. Numerous rooms are now available there for workshops and training courses: offices, shared workplaces and guest rooms for trainers, visitors and prospective entrepreneurs.
