The Schöck-Familien-Stiftung

"Future through education" is our motto.

The Schöck-Familien-Stiftung non-profit GmbH was founded in 2012 on the initiative of Sabine Schöck. The company exclusively fulfills charitable purposes and is based in Baden-Baden.

With the foundation, the Schöck family currently mainly supports projects to promote school and vocational training in India, Nepal and some African countries as well as development and social projects in Baden-Württemberg. She primarily wants to help existing associations and other foundations to set up and implement their projects successfully. It is important to the family to enable disadvantaged people to live a successful and responsible life through individually tailored support, good education and training.

The Schöck -Familien- Stiftung is already the second non-profit organization of the Schöck family. The first, the Eberhard Schöck Stiftung(ESST) , was established in 1992 by the founder of Schöck AG , Eberhard Schöck. He and his wife Sabine transferred a large part of their shares from Schöck AG to the foundations. In doing so, they made them the largest shareholders in the company. A significant part of the dividends generated by the employees of Schöck goes to charitable purposes.

The family members who work as advisors do so on a voluntary basis.

The objectives of the Schöck-Familien-Stiftung

The Schöck-Familien-Stiftung gGmbH (SFS) makes a contribution to curbing need and poverty, corruption, crises, wars and environmental destruction. In particular, it wants to improve the educational and training opportunities for children and young people. She regards a good upbringing and education as an elementary basis for a self-determined life and well-being. The creation of this basis enables long-term open exchange between peoples and cultures as well as a sustainable approach to nature and the environment.

The SFS fulfills its purpose by promoting and/or implementing charitable projects that serve the above goals. It finances this primarily from its own resources, which come from the dividends from the shares in Schöck AG. The current funding priorities of the SFS are in the areas of “International Development Cooperation” with a regional focus on India and Nepal and “Support and Social Projects in Germany” with a regional focus on Baden-Württemberg.
