On the remote islands of the Indian Sundarbans, families often have no access to safe drinking water. Disasters such as cyclones and floods further exacerbate the situation. This situation forces people to consume contaminated water, which can lead to serious health problems.
The installation of a reverse osmosis water treatment system on a boat is an innovative solution: The mobile unit supplies around 5,000 people with purified drinking water, even in disaster situations. At the same time, the project serves as a social entrepreneurial model with scaling potential in the region.
