In the Wairaka project area, which is characterized by poverty and a lack of prospects, the aim of Nurturing Uganda is to promote a community consisting of strong individuals and stable families who are no longer dependent on outside help, but can overcome challenges independently and sustainably.
The activities planned at the Community Center run by Nurturing Uganda form the cornerstone for achieving this goal. They were developed on the basis of many years of experience through intensive cooperation with the community and the needs of the target group. The focus here is on comprehensive, individual education. In workshops, coaching sessions and exposure visits, children and young people develop a positive, individual image of their future and lay the foundations for an education that matches their own strengths. Exchange groups with qualified speakers support parents in their upbringing in order to accompany their children into a positive future.
Savings groups and further training courses strengthen women in particular in becoming financially independent and breaking out of the cycle of poverty in the long term.
