This music education project includes monthly workshops in conjunction with the Kirchheimbolanden piano and chamber music series, which presents up-and-coming artists in the field of classical music. They play their concert program for the students, explain it and talk about their career, their training and their profession.
All music teachers at several schools in Kirchheimbolanden and the Donnersberg district take part in the musical support project with their classes. According to the teachers, being able to offer their pupils contact with live music and live musicians is an essential and valuable part of the project, as there are an above-average number of pupils in their classes who do not have access to real concert experiences.
At the same time, the workshops support the industry of young concert musicians by enabling them to perform in front of a live audience. Furthermore, the workshops offer the valuable opportunity to come into contact with very different children and young people and to gain experience of the complexity of our social reality. The project thus contains a variety of synergy effects for all those involved.
