The focus is on career counseling\u2014and the vision of opening up paths to a self-determined life for young people and their families.<\/p>\n

The organizations Roots for Life and Our Sansar have been running educational programs in various regions of Nepal for years. Building on this experience, a pilot project was launched to empower students to make informed decisions about their future.<\/p>\n

Developing New Approaches to Career Counseling:<\/strong>
\nInnovative approaches to career counseling are being tested to create a replicable model project for students throughout Nepal\u2014a concept that can be applied in a variety of settings. The plan is to create a practical guide that communities and organizations throughout Nepal can use for schools and training courses. Local teachers and social workers will be trained to ensure the project\u2019s long-term sustainability in the regions.<\/p>\n

Strengthening Motivation and Future Prospects:<\/strong>
\nYoung people should be encouraged to continue their education after 10th grade\u2014whether through formal schooling or vocational training. This helps prevent child marriage and lays the foundation for a self-determined life. Regular motivational events featuring people from various professional fields are also intended to provide encouragement and open up new perspectives.<\/p>\n

Promoting a Shift in Parents’ Mindsets:<\/strong>
\nParents should recognize the importance of education and actively support their children on their educational journey.<\/p>\n
