Many years ago, Prabir Das founded a small project in which he took in ten children from the poorest backgrounds, looked after them and successfully sent them to an English-speaking middle school.
Sometimes the children still have a mother, but she is too poor to take care of the children and teach them.
He was able to purchase a small house where he lives with the boys. He has one helper and his mother cooks for everyone. The children grow up safely in this surrogate family, are regularly medically examined and can play and do sports. The Schöck-Familien-Stiftung supports him with his living expenses.
